Like every other business on the spit - except Salty Dawg & Land's End, it's only open during the summer.
I always bring the kids here for great fried fish!
Great halibut and chips, appreciated that they took covid safety seriously.
Excellent chowder and delicious bread pudding. Worth a stop!
Clean ocean view restaurant. Kid friendly. We popped in for a light lunch. We ordered the fish & chips with fresh Halibut and spilt it. Plenty if your not super hungry. The batter was light and fluffy and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Counter service. Plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. Prices Fair for quality of food.
LOVE the service, order at the counter, self seating indoor and patio. Delicious fish, portions what you expect. Price is market value for halibut and decent burgers at a decent price. 5 starts on cleanliness, service, product. Satisfied every visit!
Tasty, fresh fish and good crisp fries. Albeit $23.60 for fish and chips would be crazy if it wasn't an in a convenient tourist location and in Alaska where everything is a bit more costly. The sauce was creamy and delightful. The fish was fresh and fried very well. Made my cruise's stop in Homer just a little more savory.
Best Fish and chips in town. Burger is the best on the spot by far and the views are great. Awesome little place. If you're costing you must go here.
The best Cod fish and chips so fresh and yummy.
Fries were excellent! Staff was friendly. Dining room was clean with a great view, outside dining is available too. The fish was slightly undercooked and greasy without any real flavor with bland dill sauce. It was comfortable with great fries but we enjoyed fish other places more.
Great food and amazing view.
The price was high but within range of the area. The food was good and the portions were good. The tartar sauce was really delicious. I would enjoy going back.
Easy going environment with friendly service and fresh cooked fish.
Mask Nazis. And food portions didn’t match the price.
The hours posted state they close at 7:30 pm. Walked in at 7 pm, a guy rudely met me at the door screaming at me that they were closed. I thanked him and he muttered, “Jesus Christ” behind me as my children and i walked out. If i could give this place negative stars, i would. Why did i drive all the way to Homer, Alaska to this place? Don’t waste your time. Especially if you are nonwhite.
There's nothing like being in Alaska; so I should not have been surprised. But the cod was to die for, and if everything on the menu is as good as the fish and chips and the chowder? You cannot possibly go wrong."
Love the fish and chips, ate here 3 times in a weekend!
The salmon burger is not as good as we thought it was. When we were there, the place ran out of the breadbowl so we couldn't order the clam chowder in a bread bowl. They give a generous portion for the cod fish and chip order. Free water, on the other hand, is in a tiny cup that you need to probably refill several time during a meal.
Great halibut fish and chips. Fresh halibut. Lightly battered and not too greasy. We will be going back as soon as possible
Nice dining area. Staff was nice but..... Had the Cod and Chips. No flavor in the Cod but the seasoned fries were ok.
Expensive but worth every penny. Amazing halibut and calamari
Awesome dinner joint! Brought my family there for dinner last night and we some of the best burgers of our lives. Great way to enjoy the spit with great food, cold beer, live music, and a view to die for!
During an overnight stay here in Homer I really wanted Halibut (Halibut capital of the world!) We walked around and checked out several restaurants menus including a very popular place just a few doors down that encouraged reservations and told us it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. We walked out and decided on Boardwalk Fish and Chips. As you can see by my 5 star review we loved it. The halibut was moist not dry and was not overly coated with breading. And what it was breaded with was delicious. So was the house made tarter sauce and coleslaw. I highly recommend eating here. Do be aware that you order before you sit down, and they serve on paper boats. Not a fancy sit down with a server place but very worth it. You can't beat the views either, see my pics!
Menu doesn’t show it, but grilled fish is an option as well as deep fried. Halibut portion was fine compared to others in the area, but this is a tourist area so prices are high.
Food was on point! As fresh as it gets. We ordered the bread bowl with clam chowder, big portions and very delicious. Amazing service, everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great food and watch eagles fly by . Great views of the bay.
Nice place, but I thought the price for the halibut was high. Also had the clam chowder. Good amount in the bread bowl, but it tasted like it was out of a can with a ton of green seasoning. There were 4 of us eating and no one was overly satisfied.
Food was good beer was cold. Unfortunately most everything is fried.
Great food at very reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere with good views
It was good but a little bit pricey. $25 for halibut fish on a stick with fries. Everything was freshly caught. Service was good.
Absolutely the best place on the spit to eat ! Great for the whole family and even the pups We kept coming back again and again Happy every time
Way over priced for the fish and chips. The cod had no flavor and not enough fries. The clam chowder is decent but they run out fast.
I am local and love it when this place opens every summer! Very reasonably priced for fresh fish and the fries are awesome, my kids love it!! I recommend our favorite, the cod! They have awesome tartar sauce too and an amazing view!
Order the halibut fish basket. Yum! Perfectly cooked & seasoned well! A little $$ but the food was delicious!
Great food, and good atmosphere at a really good price. Would definitely eat here again and recommend others.
We arrived in homer and really wanted fresh fish. Duh! Stopped in to patty's looked at the menu. it was really expensive, so we left, we found boardwalk and were so happy. While I realize the fish is coming from right there, it was freaking amazing. They also had bread pudding which looked great, but didn't splurge. Highly recommended this place!
Good chowder, fish and chips are ok, but expensive for the small portions.
The best clam chowder with an even better view!
Excellent! Nice light batter. Most places are caked on.
Good fish and chips.. burgers, not so much.
This was a great place to eat. It's right on the boardwalk so if it's a nice day you can get a great view of the beach. Prices were very reasonable compared to the other restaurants in homer and the food was really good! Definitely recommend checking it out
Great view, honest food, laid-back atmosphere.
This place is AMAZING! All of the food was delicious. My husband got the halibut fish and chips. I have to say that was the best fried halibut ever. I got the clam chowder in a bread bowl and let me say, it was perfect. So good. I also appreciate how they operate. You come in, place your order at the front, find a table to sit at and then wait for your food to come out. Drinks are self service. It makes the experience quick, which is what we were looking for. Our food came out quickly too. All in all, we loved it and would go back again!
The freshest seafood! Oh my goodness, what a delicious treat!
Been eating here since 2007, really nice selection for the foods I like...but usually get a boardwalk burger and calamari. Only request I have is Dr Pepper in the fountain! 😁
They have the best fries. I don't really like fish so I ordered the hamburger and it was good. Tried someone's cod, and it was fantastic. Wished I had ordered that instead.
We screwed up and ate at Harbor bar and grill and it was nasty, we are so glad we got to eat at boardwalk fish n chips. The fish was beautiful and crispy and cooked to perfection. We had the cod and halibut and chicken strips and you couldn’t ask for anything better. The fish tasted fresh and the fries were super yummy. Prices were on par with every other place in Homer but you actually feel like it’s worth it.
Great place to get fish and chips while enjoying the view from the spit. The halibut is a great option and while it's more than usual cost wise, the view alone is worth it.
The fried salmon and chips were amazing!
Definitely one of our favorite meals while visiting homer! Just incredible fried fish and cosy atmospheric
Omg, were from Boise. Our favorite place we ate. Go see Jen and Darrin. The best food!!!
